 Masala dhokla : 

This Masala dhokla is my experimental dish. Masala dhokla is popular and a traditional snack recipe made with Rava  batter.  Dhokla basically originates from western india or precisely from the gujarati cuisine. 
 A popular Gujarati snack, dhokla is one of the most loved snack across the country that is made in various ways. This masala dhokla recipe is a quick and easy one that is delicious as well as healthy! A recipe that is steamed and made in just 30 minutes. This is an easy, quick and instant dhokla and does not require fermentation. Soft and spongy Instant Rava masala  Dhokla is a steamed savory cake. made with semolina (sooji) and aromatic spices. Rava masala dhokla tastes fantastic.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED :

            For 
MASALA PUR DHOKLA:
         For Batter:

1 cup Fine Rava (sooji / semolina)
1 cup Sour Curd
1/2 cup Water
1 teaspoon Eno 
 Salt as per taste
1/2 tea spoon
 baking powder
1/2 tea spoon (ginger paste and chili paste) 
1 tea spoon sugar powder.
           For pur:
1 tea spoon Mustard oil 
1 medium size onion finely chopped
2 or 3 chili chopped 
1 tomato finely chopped
Ginger garlic cuted into small pieces. 
1 tea spoon Cumin seeds,
Salt, sugar as per taste 
Turmaric power 1/2 tea spoon and red chili powder, 1 /2 tea spoon garam masala powder,boiled potato 4 piece and 1  cup sayaben boiled. 
      For Tempering:
1 tablespoon Oil
1/2 teaspoon Mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
1/2 teaspoon Sesame Seeds (til)
1 small Green Chilli, seeded and finely chopped
4 to 5 Curry Leaves
1 tablespoon finely chopped ,sugar and salt as per taste.

How to make

 MASALA PUR DHOKLA:INSTRUCTIONS
firstly: making batter: 
in a large mixing bowl take rava and curd.
additionally add sugar, ginger, chili paste and salt.
mix well and make a thick batter.
rest for 30 minutes or till rava absorbs moisture.
further add water as required and mix well.
get the dhokla to idli batter consistency.
additionally add eno , baking powder
mix it gently . 
Secondly : 
For pur : in a pan add mustard oil, cumin seeds, (ginger, onion, tomato, garlic, chili) finely chopped  add turmaric power and chili powder mixed it well then add mesh potato, boiled mash sayaben , salt and sugar as per taste and garam masala fry it and make a dough. 
Thirdly : 
Take a container gresh with butter take the dough and give it a thin shape like rod  add place it at the center of the container. Add batter over it and close the lid 
steam the dhokla batter for 10 to 15 minutes.
prepare the tempering by heating oil.
further add mustard seeds, jeera, sesame seeds and hing.
once the mustard seeds splutter add in curry leaves and green chili.
saute for a while and once the tempering splutters spread the tempering over dhokla.
and cut the dhokla to desired shape.
finally masala pur dhokla is ready to serve with chutney .
